Finally theres a new place to go apart from the usual areas of town, places that are filled with shopping mall.
Its call Arab Street, a small part behind Bugis Junction. I know I sound all excited, I'm sure that many people have already been there and explore the place but cause it was my first time there.

The roads are really narrow there. Heard from my friend that it was Singapore's narrowest street.
There are two parts actually, Arab street and Haji lane. Arab street is the part where you find shops that sells Arab style batiks, carpets and accessories parts where you can buy them and customise your own necklaces. These shops closes at quite an early time though around 6 pm plus 7 pm. There are also cafes where they sell arab delicacies but there is a unique point to them. They are not just a normal cafe but a cafe that provides Shee sha to customer. Shee sha is a kind of smoking equipment that Arabs smokes, it can only be found in Arab street.
As I walked down to explore on Haji lane, I was quite surprised that there are actually boutique stores that sells clothes like what is being sold in shopping centres. Items sold there are quite pricey though.

The stores are actually in shophouses. I liked the way at how they decorated their shops of which they make use of retro items such as oldies style clocks, dressing table, etc. The shops sells retro items too. They also make use of orangey coloured light which gave a comfortable feeling.

For people who have not been there yet, go check it out some day.
